Coordinator for Cheerleaders Ryan O’Connor

O’Connor Hired to Lead Cheerleaders, Levetzow to Coordinate Rebelettes

OXFORD, Miss. – With a new sports season upon us, Ole Miss Athletics is excited to announce Ryan O’Connor as the new spirit squad coordinator for the cheerleaders and Rachel Levetzow as spirit squad coordinator for the Rebelettes.

O’Connor comes to Ole Miss from UAB, where she served the previous three years as spirit coordinator for all aspects of the spirit program including cheerleaders, dance team, mascots, camps, competitions, and recruitment.

Prior to her appointment at UAB, O’Connor spent the 2013-14 year as director of media relations for ACE Cheer Company and worked at Varsity Brands as a member of their social media team from 2010-2014.

O’Connor earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Alabama in 2012 and

was a cheerleader for the Crimson Tide.

Levetzow spent eight years at Baylor University as the director of spirit and athletic tradition before joining Ole Miss. She is also the former head dance coach at Texas Tech University, where she coached the Tech Pom Squad to 10th in the nation at NDA nationals.

A 2005 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, Levetzow was a two-year team captain and four-year member of the Sugar Bears Dance Team. She was also a dancer with Shoji Tabuchi Theatre in Branson, Missouri as well as a lead dancer with Carnival Cruise Line.

Levetzow was also a head instructor with Universal Dance Association in the Midwest for eight years and is a veteran UDA judge.
